Thank you, Groupon for sponsoring this post! As with all posts, I will only write about and recommend things that I love and I believe you all would, too! All opinions are mine.

It’s officially winter and although it’s been cold up here in the north for a few days, I know it’s only going to get colder as the season goes on. While I tend to find that it’s best to shop off-season for items that would normally cost such as jackets and sweaters, I didn’t have the chance to do that this year because most of the money I spent went straight to the wedding and living expenses. However, I’m realizing that the colder it gets, the more sweaters, hoodies, and jackets I need.

Today, I’m sharing some of my favorite finds that I’m either considering purchasing, recently for the winter months from a few of my favorite stores for reasonable prices. Let’s shop shall we?

Sweaters and Cardigans

Chunky Knit Duster

Aztec Toggle Poncho Sweater

I LOVE sweaters and cardigans! It must be an educator thing, but I feel like I can never have enough of these in enough colors. They’re cozy and perfect for the days I’m working at my desk and need some extra warmth.
The icy color of the oversized sweater is perfect for the winter! I tend to wear mostly darker colors during the winter, but lately I’ve grown to have an appreciation for icy blues, pinks, greys, and other pale winter colors. I may not wear them often, but every now and then I step out of my usual color-scheme.
What I love about these particular cardigans is that they’re not only stylish, but they’re huge! I have cardigans that while I love the quality of the fabric and the color, they stop right above my backside or right below it, which I find doesn’t keep me as warm. However, the heavy poncho sweater would be perfect as a coat when going out on a chilly (not freezing) winter day. The cardigan is also sure to keep you warm during the colder months!

Belted Fleece Trench Coat

Padded Bomber Jacket

Faux Fur Hooded Anorak Jacket

Faux Fur-Trim Hooded Anorak Jacket

Did you know that not only does Charlotte Russe have a storewide sale going on where everything is $20 or less (yes, including $44 shoes) until Saturday, but on Groupon, they have tons of coupons that are available for you to use?

That means that for a sweater that might normally cost $30, you can get it for almost half of the price if you purchase it before Saturday and use the Groupon coupons.

Longline Dolman Sweater

While I would certainly not wear this by itself during the winter months, I would pair this sweater dress from Forever21 with a thick pair (or layered with two for extra warmth) of black leggings, black combat or knee-high boots, and a cardigan overtop of it. I think it’s super cute, easy to accessorize and for a reasonable price!

Beaded & Faux Suede Layered Necklace

Crochet & Faux Suede Choker Necklaces

I am LOVING these chokers! While I do not wear them often, I love pairing them with bulky, oversize sweaters and wearing them when my hair is pulled back or braided. If you buy today, Charlotte Russe has a deal where you can get 2 for $10. Basically, you could buy 2 packs of 3 chokers and get 6 chokers for $10. I’d say that’s a pretty sweet deal!

Tortoise Gold Sunglasses

I have a pair of glasses similar to these and I’ve gotten a lot of compliments on them! What a love about these is that they’re cat-eyed shaped (shoutout to all the cat ladies out there) and they’re gold-colored! Aside from the fact that I love the color gold, I think it accents well with some of the colors one would typically wear in the winter.

Fringe Howlite Stone Drop Earrings

What I adore about these earrings is the marble on them. I usually don’t wear long or hanging earrings, but when I saw these, I thought they would look perfect with some of the winter sweaters I plan on wearing. I’d also recommend wearing these beauties with your hair tied up in either a ponytail, french braid or bun.

I’m not gonna lie, Claire’s is a store definitely marketed more towards preteens and teens than it is adult women, but the times that I’ve ventured through the doors into their colorful stores, I’ve actually found some cute accessories to wear. In fact, one of the headbands I routinely wear during the work week as an educator when I wear my natural hair, I purchased from Claire’s. As with many deals at many stores, you just have to know how to find it and where to find it.

Claire’s has a deal going on where you buy one item and you get one free in addition to some sweet coupons on Groupon.

Well, that’s it for my list of favorites that I’m considering purchasing. What are some of your favorite places to shop and things to wear during the winter months?
