If you’ve been following me for the past few months, you probably are aware that I’ve been seeking to switch to become 100% self-hosted and to change my domain.
Well, the good news is I did just that!
I am officially self-hosted and so excited to see what’s to come on this space. I am currently working on a few things with this site to try to make it more of my own.
The bad news is, several of my recent posts from December AND January are gone.
My host transferred the site for me because I’m a #websitenoob and over 10 posts are missing in the transfer. All of my posts about deals for Christmas gifts, my advent calendar post that so many of you responded to and shared as well as my post about how to decorate your home for the winter months is all gone. Needless to say, I am very disappointed, discouraged, and saddened that this has happened. I put a lot of energy and heart into my posts, so for so many of them to disappear with no way of me retrieving them is pretty depressing. I know there’s a lesson somewhere in this, so I am going to take it all in stride, trusting that despite this loss of content, things are going to work out.
I am going to do my best to rewrite some of them to get the content back up, so if you see a bunch of posts coming up content that looks familiar, it’s probably because it is. Luckily, I drafted some of these shared posts in Google Docs (shoutout to G-Suite), but sadly that’s not the case for all of them.
I hope you guys continue on this journey with me and bear with me as I try to navigate this bump in the road. I have some posts that I’ve been planning to share with you all and with everything that happened with my last ten posts, I’m so glad I did not share them when I wanted to.
I love you all and I am looking forward to sharing some upcoming travels, fashion, home decor, tips, and words of encouragement with you!
