I am stepping out of my comfort zone and trying a new thing this month because I felt like my “currently” posts were always pretty cluttered with a bunch of different information. While I am still planning to continue writing update posts, I also liked the idea of separating it so that if just getting a peek into some cool things I’ve found while searching on the internet is your thing, you’ll get that in one post.
In this post, I am going to be separating it into sections starting with Clothes I’ve Loved, Products I’ve Loved, Things I’ve Loved and Links I’ve Loved. In short, it’s basically half of my “currently” post, but just with way more links. I am going to try to keep it to things I think you’d like to to!
Let’s hop to it shall we?
CLOTHES I’VE LOVED
Oversized sweaters: I haven’t been purchasing many items because I don’t want to purchase anything that I’ll have to give away soon since I’m trying to lose weight, but oversized sweaters are my thing. Maybe it’s the fact that fall is approaching, but I’ve been finding myself really wanting to buy as many as I can. Right now, I’m loving H&M’s selection of them.
Kiel James Patrick Nantucket Sweaters: Speaking of sweaters, I am loving this collection of MA sweatshirts from Kiel James Patrick. I found out about this brand from following Classy Girls Wear Pearls, but honestly speaking, it’s always felt too pricey for my budget. I guess it’s one of the things where every once in a while it’s okay to treat yourself to – especially since I hear the quality of these clothes are really good. However, I LOVE these sweaters – especially the navy blue Nantucket one. We’ve gone to Cape Cod, so the other places are next on our list of places in MA to go together. I’m hoping to be able to visit this place one day!
My Blue Raincoat from Ann Taylor: I purchased the raincoat I am wearing in the image above last spring and it’s come in handy, lately with all of the rainy weather here in the city. It’s been hot, so I definitely reserve this jacket for days where it’s raining and not incredibly humid since for a light jacket it does have some warmth to it. What I love most about it is it’s striped lining on the inside. It’s so cute! If you look really closely you can see that and my husband taking my photo (shoutout to the husbands behind the blog). I unfortunately could not find the same coat, but I managed to find something that looks similar to it!
Hunter Boots and Duck Boots: These are both items that I’ve wanted for a very long time, but haven’t purchased because I felt that they were too pricey for me. I guess, again, it’s one of those things where you have to pay more for quality items and perhaps one of the reasons why I keep going through boots so quickly is because I tend to purchase shoes on the cheaper side. While I haven’t added this item to my cart quite yet, I have been wanting to treat myself to a pair in time for the fail season. Maybe next month, I’ll have them!
PRODUCTS I’VE LOVED
Sir Kensington’s Special Sauce: When I saw this at the grocery store, I couldn’t help but purchase it. It’s non GMO, which is always nice to know when purchasing an item. It’s definitely not vegan though, so if you’re someone who is or has a dairy allergy, I wouldn’t recommend it since it does have dairy products in it.
My Ninja Coffee Brewer: Seriously, the froth attachment has been both my husband and I’s favorite thing. We love how it allows us to create new recipes using it!
Premier Chocolate Protein: I am in the process of trying to find things that work for my body so I can lose weight in a healthy way, so I recently purchased protein so I can make them in the morning for breakfast. All I can say is yum. It’s chocolately (is that even a word in the English language?) and has a little sweetness in it. I love adding peanut butter to it.
Power Force Helix Vacuum: Our house is like 90% carpet, which means that we had to get a vacuum. It’s something that we didn’t need in our old apartment, but it’s definitely something we need now. Even though it took me an embarrassing amount of time to figure out how to put it together because I didn’t realize the screws were on the handle, it was easy to use once it was on.
Fall pumpkins: I can’t wait to go to the pumpkin patch and pick out a pumpkin for our step this holiday season. I love fall and it’s something I’m excited to make a family tradition – especially now that we have a front door to place one in front of.
Fall signage: Speaking of fall, I’m on the hunt for fall signs that are cute and can be easily yearly. I love the wooden and printable ones that I’ve been finding on Etsy like the ones below!
THINGS I’VE LOVED
Closet cleaning: This counts as a thing – right? I’m working on getting rid of a ton of clothes that I don’t wear anymore or cannot fit. I get attached to the things I buy, so it’s hard to let go, but I know I need to. Once I start to notice some changes, physically, I plan to treat myself to some new clothes as we can afford it. Right now, however, it’s all about purging my closet.
The Amy Documentary on Netflix: I loved Amy Winehouse’s music and her voice. In fact, many of her songs were played on repeat during some difficult moments of mine during college. I know, it sounds so cliche’ but it’s so true. I used to belt “Back to Black” because I felt I connected so much to the song at the time. Even though now I am in a different place emotionally, spiritually, and physically, I still love the rawness of her music. The documentary reminded me of why I loved her music and why I felt for her when the media was being so cruel towards her during a dark period in her life. It’s a great documentary!
Lettuce wraps: I am trying a new thing because I am trying to lower the amount of sugars I intake. I have been pinning all of the lettuce wrap ideas on Pinterest, but I have been struggling in real figuring out how to make it work without spilling it everywhere. Lettuce is fragile, y’all or I could be buying the wrong lettuce. If you have any lettuce recommendations send them your way!
Michael’s: Yes, the entire store because there’s too many things to choose from. I’m not sure if this should go under products, but I am loving their fall items and it’s taking everything in me not to purchase all of the fall florals and fall storage. Oh, and by everything in me, I mean my husband.
Pinterest: I am getting so many inspirations for this upcoming fall from this site. I can always count on Pinterest to give me ideas that then I fail to recreate myself.
Tumblr: Not sure why, but I’ve been more active on Tumblr. I think it’s realizing that my Tumblr blog has been full of posts linking to my website and while it’s great that I’ve managed to link them together, it’s made my Tumblr feed look very weird. So alas, I’m back and scheduling posts so it’s back to looking somewhat pretty and reflective of myself, again. Click the image below to follow me and see what I’ve been up to!
LINKS I’VE LOVED
Dear Julian, Adoption Video: This video will surely warm your heart. I cried. No shame.
The Prepford Life: I know I’ve shared her blog before, but when do I not love her content? I love her style and her Instagram feed.
Will Smith’s YouTube Channel: Just the whole thing is amazing.
Our blog: As stated in a previous post, my husband and I started a blog together! So far, we’re still playing around with a few things on there and my husband hasn’t posted yet. We’ve just been so busy, lately. Truthfully, the only reason why we were able to get posts up there is because I scheduled and posted a lot of them in advance. He’s working on it, though!
A Two Day Guide to Brooklyn: I love Natalie and her husband, Mark’s blog! They’re fellow travelers and coffee-lovers, which is one of the many things that draws me to their space! I have been wanting to go to Brooklyn because we have family and friends in New York, but have always felt stuck with where to begin and what to see while there. I loved this guide and their willingness to share their travels with us!
Covering the Bases: I just discovered her blog and I love it! I love her style and I love her transparency. I also love that her outfits for work!
Bedroom Make-Over: Perhaps it’s because we’re kind of in the middle of figuring out how we want to decorate and personalize our bedroom, but I’ve been enjoying bedroom decor videos like this one!
Tour When Visiting Georgetown: Aside from the fact that I love Carly’s style and find her travel videos to be very helpful! One of my favorites would have to be this one.
