Is it seriously already November? I know I say this about every month, but this year has seriously flew by. I can’t believe that in two short months we’ll be bringing in the new year and celebrating 2019.

Like, what?

There’s been a lot going on on my end of the world. Lots of exciting things happening with loved ones and work events and potentially an opportunity to go away for the weekend with my husband. It’s also an exciting month because it’s the month we got married, so this time of year always holds a special place in my heart (and stomach, because Thanksgiving is fast approaching).

I didn’t do a “things I’ve loved in October” post because this month was honestly so busy that I didn’t really think about it as much and didn’t to rush a post for the sake of getting it out. Instead, I’ll be sharing those items in the late November post, just in time for the holidays!

If you’re curious to know some of the details about what’s been going on currently in our life, feel free to continue reading today’s Q&A post!

WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN UP TO?

Well, I regularly attend cycling class twice a week, so there’s that!

Other than that it’s been work and preparing for some upcoming events happening in our world, lately. It’s all good things, but it’s definitely a lot going on. I’ve also be preparing to vote in the upcoming midterm elections!

WHAT’S SOMETHING EXCITING YOU DID, RECENTLY?

We got to travel to up the Delaware Water Gap, which is one of my favorite places to visit. It’s such a nice, scenic drive through various, quaint towns in PA. We settled in Easton and got some delicious barbeque, which sealed the deal.

WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON, CURRENTLY?

Definitely my health. Healthier eating and exercise habits. Healthier relationship with food and self-image.

Blog-wise, I am working on some content for the upcoming holiday season as well as some content for the newsletter! Lately, I’ve been a lot more open and raw on that space, because of reasons I detailed in previous posts and a previous newsletter. It’s turned into a safe space for me to be able to share my heart without judgement. You ladies are seriously awesome and I am thankful for your support and prayer!

P.S – I’ll be sharing more about the outfit I’m wearing in this photo soon! I am excited about it because it’s the outfit that my husband said reminds me of a certain cartoon character while I see an uncanny resemblance to a renaissance painter, haha.

SPEAKING OF, WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS?

Other than developing a healthier eating regime is to take better care of my skin. I know genetics plays a big part in skin conditions, but hoping that by consistently using the proper products, drinking water and exercising, my skin will begin to look a bit healthier.

WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS MONTH?

Definitely spending a lot of time with family and cuddles with my precious nephew! Oh and the wedding happening early this month!

WHAT ARE SOME THINGS YOU HOPE TO TREAT YOURSELF TO?

I’d love to do something new with my hair. Other than that, perhaps a dress for the wedding coming up in the next few weeks.

WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR FAVORITE THINGS YOU COOKED, CURRENTLY?

Salmon cakes! I love salmon and it’s one of the reasons why I think I’d struggle if I ever went full vegetarian. I’m sure it’s going to happen eventually, but I want the decision to be mine and not influenced by physical weight loss goals or anything. I want to do it for the right reasons. For now, I’ve just been selective about certain meats and salmon is one that is always a fave.

My favorite way to prepare it is to bread it lightly or sear it. Squeeze a little bit of lemon juice or make a lemon aoli with lemon juice, mayo, lemon pepper, hot sauce, and a little bit of cayenne pepper = yum. I’ll be sharing the full recipe in the future!

WHAT’S A PODCAST THAT YOU’VE BEEN LISTENING TO A LOT THIS MONTH?

There’s a podcast my husband and I just found out about called “Creepy Podcast” and it’s amazing. It reminds me a lot of the scary stories I used to read as a kid. I don’t like horror movies because I am easily scared, but I find these stories more well written than I do, bone-chillingly scary. It probably helps that I listen to these stories during the day as opposed to at night or alone, though.

What are some things that you’re currently doing or loving?
