Something that some of you may not know about me is that I get cold very easily. In fact, when we’re in the house, I like to keep the temperature around 73 degrees. I didn’t realize was really high until we got married and until I heard other people share the temperature they normally keep their home at when it’s chilly outside. Whoops.
That would explain why my bill was what it was when I lived by myself.
However, it’s not just at home that I have to wear hoodies or snuggle in blankets most of the time. Even in the office, I am normally the coldest one in the building and rarely come out of my jacket even long after I’ve entered!
As a result, I realized that it might have something to do with the way that I am dressing. Yes, both my mom and I get cold easily, but there’s no way I am always that cold during this time of year that I need to have the temp that high and my jacket on.
My jackets weren’t warm enough for the chilly temperatures, so I figured it was time for me to buy a new one. This beige coat has been something I’ve had my eye on since the fall, but I was able to grab it on sale, recently, and decided to finally head to the checkout section.
This coat is honestly one of the comfiest ones that I own. In fact, I think this jacket is quickly becoming my favorite one to wear because it’s so cozy. Wearing it honestly makes me feel like I am wrapped up in a blanket all day.
The color was one of the primary reasons why I purchased it. I was technically on the hunt for a beige jacket since this past fall, but felt like the jackets were either too expensive, so I was waiting on the sales, or they didn’t look warm enough. I wanted one warm enough and a color neutral that I could wear it comfortably in the winter or in the spring.
This jacket checked all of those boxes for me – especially when I found it on sale for around $40! It was originally $70, so I felt pretty proud of myself that I waited and didn’t jump the gun when I wanted to.
Paired with these black gloves that I also purchased, I’ve felt super snug, even when the weather is very cold.
Speaking of gloves, these ones were purchased from Old Navy as well and are actually designed to help you be able to use your phone as you’re wearing them! This may not seem as much of a big deal to some people, because I know has been a thing for a while, but I’ve never owned a pair. As someone who’s constantly getting rider share cars to commute to presentations or on the phone calling my husband to let him know that I am on my way home, having something like this has been a tremendous blessing for my cold hands.
They even have the gloves in this beautiful, red buffalo plaid, which would pair nice with my coat as well!
As far as the shoes I’m wearing, they’re the same ones I purchased from Marley Lily a while back. Honestly, they aren’t the most comfortable fit, but I love the look of them so much that I make it work because they’re cute. If they happen to be brought back to the store, I’d recommend sizing up just to make sure it’s a super comfortable fit.
I DID manage to find a pair that while aren’t monogrammed are SUPER cute from J.Crew! These shoes are a pair of shoes that I have been eyeing for a little while now because they’re so cute! I don’t own them, but I figured they were too cute not to share! They’re a bit on the pricey size, so I’d keep an eye out for when they have another sale if you love them to but the price isn’t quite right. Honestly, that’s one of the reasons why I am holding off, right now.
Overall, if you are looking for a warm jacket, this is definitely one you’d want to keep your eye out for it! It’s definitely a purchase that I am happy with!
