Something I’ve always said that I wanted to do was meet up with local bloggers in the area. I love the blogging community and have had the opportunity to meet with some wonderful people, but I have never actually met them in person. Therefore after much back and forth internally, I decided to take the initiative to try to plan some sort of informal meet-up where we’d all meet up, hang out and just casually enjoy each other’s company.
I’ve known Natalie online for a couple of years and didn’t realize until we met up that one of her relatives actually shot our wedding when we got married! She’s always really sweet and kind online, but she’s even sweeter and cooler in person! She ‘s very creative and I’ve always loved her content that she shares both on her personal blog and through her company, Oakmoss Collective. I’d definitely recommend you check those out! She’s also a photographer with her husband, Mark!
We browsed a couple of nearby stores in Devon Yard, chatted about life, and got an opportunity to visit a new La Colombe store that opened up in the Bryn Mawr area!
I’m really thankful to have gotten an opportunity to hang out with her and it’s something I hope to do again in the future, as well as get an opportunity to meet more likeminded bloggers!
Brunch with Natalie
This was something I was looking forward to and I am thankful that I stepped outside of my comfort zone to try to arrange something! I am hoping that this is the start of more hang outs in the future, future collaborations, and opportunities to meet with more bloggers in the area! I’m also hoping to attend some Oakmoss events in the future!
Ocean City, MD & Delaware Beaches
My husband’s schedule has made it difficult for us to spend intentional time together, but with me being on spring break this week, I was able to spend Tuesday and Wednesday with him since we were both off. Something we miss now that his schedule has changed is being able to just go on a drive places not even to stay the night or spend, but just to get away. So Tuesday and Wednesday we did just that.
We couldn’t afford to stay the night in any of those places, but it was fun getting an opportunity to drive around together like we used to before his schedule changed.
Although it was definitely too cold to go into the water, it was nice to walk around on the board walk and just enjoy the pretty sights. I may write a separate post on that soon.
The Sims 4
My secret-not-so-secret obsession consists of playing the Sims 4. I remember being introduced it to by my uncle, who gave my brother a CD Rom (remember those?) version of the game and I began playing it. It’s been one of my favorite computer games to play ever since. Yes, there’s no real strategy involved, but there’s something so enjoyable about playing out different story lines and getting to decorate various homes for various families. Maybe one day, I’ll stream an episode just for fun, but I’m pretty boring when it comes to when I play, so it probably would not be that interesting, haha. Anyone else play?
If I am being honest, I’d see REACT videos a lot on my suggested list, but never really checked them out because I didn’t think I would like the style of them. Typically I stick to tutorials, reveals, vlogs, and let’s plays on YouTube if I am being honest, so it’s rare that I watch react videos. However, I’d loved the REACT Channel’s “Try Not to Eat” challenge because they theme them after different movies and channels and typically feature things you’d actually want to eat.
So, those of you subscribed to my newsletter received a survey a couple of weeks ago asking what you thought and what you’d like to see more of. Based on the feedback, it seemed that you liked the bi-weekly newsletters as opposed to the monthly format I tried for a couple of months. As a result, I will be going back to the bi-weekly format! I’m really excited to be able to share more intimate thoughts and details with you more often! I’m often so worried about not wanting to spam anyone that I thought less would be better, so it’s encouraging that you wanted to see more newsletters! Time to put some extra love into these letters, twice a month!
P.S If you haven’t subscribed to my newsletter yet, but you’d like to, feel free to subscribe here! I typically post what’s been going on behind the blog, inspiration, deals as I find them and freebies as I make them as well!
What have you been up to, recently?
